Making Good Neighbors In the Greater Richmond Area

0

There is an old saying that says “Good fences make good neighbors.”  Maybe what you need is a privacy fence, or a fence to provide a safe area for your children to play. Maybe you need a fence to keep your dog in, or perhaps a fence to keep your neighbors’ dog out.  An attractive, quality fence around your property can be a good investment that will add value to your home for years to come.

If you are in the Richmond area and need someone to help you with that fence, Fence Me In, LLC provides custom fence design and installation.

You have invested a lot in your property.  The perfect fence may be just what you need to protect that investment and to provide the privacy you need and deserve.  Fence Me In says that they’re here to provide you with that place of solace and tranquility.

Fence Me In is a wood fencing and enclosure specialist that can help you create a fence that is not only an extension of your home, but one that complements your own personal style. Check out there Fence Styles.

Fence Me In owner Kent Poulos started his company in 2009.  He built the business from scratch with a desire to build quality fences and provide excellent customer service.  Already an accomplished carpenter he wanted to be an entrepreneur and make his own way with his own business.

Poulos says that his company is unique because “we believe that as long as we have happy customers the company will flourish for years to come. “  He also says that “We’ve been over backwards to satisfy the most discerning customers.”

Fence Me In serves the greater Richmond area, including the City and the surrounding counties of Henrico, Hanover, Chesterfield, Goochland and Powhatan as well as the City of Colonial Heights.  They provide structures made out of wood, vinyl, chain link and aluminum to meet your needs.

Like many other businesses, Fence Me In recognizes that the current economy means that people are reluctant to spend.  Is a fence a luxury that can be put off until times are better?  Does the current fence meet the needs even if it’s not the most attractive structure.

Poulos notes that the U.S. savings rate is at an all-time high because people are in fear of losing their jobs.  The savings rate was at .5% in 2004 when the economy was better.  Now the rate is nearing 6%.

Poulous says a lot of homes can use a good fence.  But the customer needs to feel  more comfortable in making that investment in the face of economic uncertainty.  When faced with the possibility of losing a job

Recognizing that the economics of home improvement take a lot of consideration and planning, Fence Me In works to keep prices low by purchasing lumber in bulk.  The installers at Fence Me in are seasoned professionals who can work with all types of fencing materials and can meet the challenges of your particular yard or property. Richmond’s familiar with the popular Innsbrook After Hours series are equally as familiar with the name SnagAJob.com.  The Richmond based internet job search company acquired naming rights for the Innsbrook Pavilion in 2007.  Innsbrook After Hours is Central Virginia’s longest running mid-week concert series.

SnagAJob.com is the nation’s largest job site for part-time and hourly job openings.  The website carries over 100,000 regularly.  SnagAJob.com focuses

All of this because Shawn Boyer’s friend needed a job.

Back in 1999 Shawn Boyer’s friend asked him to help him search online for a summer internship position.  Boyer went to work and quickly found a lack of sites geared towards internship and almost nothing pertaining to part-time or hourly jobs.

A year later, in 2000, Boyer left his job with a Washington, D.C. law firm where he worked as a transactional attorney and publicly launched the SnagAJob.com website.  Over a million job seekers registered within the first year.  Boyer is now the company’s CEO and SnagAJob.com has grown to over seven million applicants.

Today SnagAJob.com is the largest of the job sites listing part-time and hourly positions.  Listings are primarily from restaurants and retailers, but include listings from hospitality, health care, service and more.  Leading companies who make use of the services provided by SnagAJob.com include 7-Eleven, Kohl’s, Home Depot and Boston Market.

Now headquartered in the Innsbrook complex in Richmond’s far West End, sponsorship of the After Hours program was a natural.

SnagAJob.com was awarded the IMPACT Award by The Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce in 2007. The award recognizes a company’s growth, culture and community impact. The company was also named to Deloitte’s prestigious Technology Fast 50 Program for Virginia and won the Greater Richmond Technology Council’s Emerging Company Award.

In 2008, Boyer was named the nation’s Small Business Person of the Year by the U.S. Small Business Administration. That same year, SnagAJob.com was named a Best Small & Medium Company to Work for in America.

Boyer says, “We strongly believe that the hourly workforce is and will continue to be the backbone of this amazing country.  And we celebrate the largely unnoticed but critically important work that hourly workers do day in and day out. They may not get the headlines in the news, but to us, they are the real stars.”

Assessing the summer job market, a SnagAJob.com released survey results in March 2010 that offered these suggestions to young job seekers:

  • “Have a positive attitude.  Don’t make all questions about money and time off.”
  • “Do not take phone into the interview or text during the interview.”
  • “Speak well.  Don’t say, ‘Umm, Can I get an application?’”
  • “Take the ring out of your ear, and cover up the tattoos.”
  • “Try to be as outgoing and professional as possible. Maturity is more appealing than a fancy resume.”
  • “Before looking for a job, make a conscious decision that you will do any job; then tell your prospective employer that if you are paid $7/hour you will work like it is $14/hour and live up to that pledge.”

Your next job may be only a click away at SnagAJob.com.  What are you waiting for?
